World Championships 2024 Zurich

The last big event for Team Equa, already super medalists in Paris, is in Zurich.

An up and down route with tight bends, certainly very challenging.

On the second day of competition, Luisa Pasini, Ana Maria Vitelaru and Svetlana Moshkovich are lined up for the time trial, with the poisoned tooth from Paris due to the penalty due to the merging of her category with the higher one.

The day is certainly not the best and it will certainly be a difficult match for our boys.
Among the men are Fabrizio Cornegliani and Martino Pini.

They are Svetlana and Fabrizio who start very strong, always scoring first place in the intermediates and winning the undeserved gold.

Ana Maria starts off strong but only “recovers” a Bronze medal. We know that she prefers the road race but she is still satisfied with third place.

In H1 Luisa Pasini takes the field for the last event of the day and wins a Silver.
Therefore a very rich day with a formidable medal count for Mister Ercole Spada.

After a day of rest, the program resumes with the road race in which Fabrizio Cornegliani returns to battle and wins a silver, Luisa Pasini gold medal and Ana Maria Vitelatu silver, after shooting for a good part of the race. Unfortunately, the fatigue due to the rival’s lack of gear changes did not allow her to have sufficient momentum in the final sprint.

Svetlana Moshkovich “only” fourth after giving everything in the time trial gold.
A ninth place for Andrea Tarlao.

Last day of racing under inclement weather which marks the start of an early autumn. On the track our Martino Pini still full of energy from the previous OLYMPICS.

Martino gave everything but the unbridgeable gap of 3 minutes was due to the reclassification of Mathieu Bosredon, H4 (therefore higher category) to H3, Martino’s category. This downgrading allowed him to effectively dominate the scene without having practically any rivals.

These World Championships in Zurich close with a large collection of medals for Team Equa which confirms its leadership on the scene.
