At the tender age of 16 I was confined to a wheelchair, due to a terrible motorcycle accident on August 30, 2008. I immediately understand that this will be a new chapter and thanks to the support of my family I do my best during my rehabilitation. knowing that I have to be physically strong if I want to regain my independence and freedom.
My determination not to give up makes me realize that sport can help me face life’s challenges, so I approach para-cycling.
At first I practiced it as a means to explore nature, enjoying climbing mountains and experiencing fatigue. But over time I understand that it is no longer enough for me and I want more: I want to get involved and become a real athlete in this sport.
I join a team, start participating in competitions and thanks to a very good coach, I see the positive results that push me to improve more and more. I know that to excel in any field you have to be fanatical and passionate about what you do, and building a great athlete takes years.
Currently I have only tasted a few victories, this gratifies me and keeps me hungry and competitive to continue this journey.
