Eduard Moescu

A noble name that embodies strength and sensitivity. Eduard Moescu is the living testimony of this description. Born in Romania on November 16, 1985, he showed a deep love for the bicycle from an early age.

However, in October 2001, due to an accident, he discovered that he was suffering from fibrosarcoma in the right femur, a malignant tumor of the soft tissue, which forced him to undergo a hemipelvectomy.

Although the amputation deprives him of a lower limb, he does not deprive him of the courage and passion for two wheels: his future is in Italy, where he aspires to a top-level sports career. In 2003 he moved to Italy, where he not only found work, but above all a large family, that of Team Equa, which welcomed him in 2014. With Eduard, the team expands its horizons by joining the world of para-cycling, a path which, from athletic and tactical point of view, contributes to the growth of Eduard.

His physical qualities, combined with his immense generosity and team care, allow him to conquer crucial points in the world ranking, qualify for world cups and championships and represent his nation by obtaining a medal. His path does not lack of progress and 2019 sees him obtain excellent results both in Italy and in continental competitions.

His daily life is accompanied by a first generation mechanical and then electronic prosthesis, but above all it is on the bike that Eduard demonstrates his lion heart, transforming obstacles into opportunities. Cycling runs through his veins and, balancing on two wheels, Eduard Moescu cuts the wind with his eyes fixed on the road.
